Common Cause is a network of people working to help rebalance cultural values to create a more equitable, sustainable and democratic society. Following decades of research and hundreds of cross-cultural studies, psychologists have identified a number of consistently-occurring human values that can be primed or suppressed.
In 2011 I joined Tom Crompton, Rich Hawkins and Charlotte Millar to lead a six-month Action Learning Process with 20 campaigners from a wide variety of campaigning organizations in the UK. Tom and Rich led the research work, and I joined Charlotte in experimenting with it's application. I learned an enormous amount about process design, particularly from the Art of Hosting, and hosted a retreat and five day-long workshops together with Charlotte and external presenters.
